About Me

Christina Specos has been a guiding light in the strength and conditioning realm since 2002, with her journey in fitness tracing back even further to 1999. Her roots are deeply planted in Philadelphia, PA, and she has cherished memories of years spent in New Jersey. Christina’s professional path took a significant turn in 2011 when she embraced the role of a collegiate strength and conditioning coach at Purdue University. There, she had the privilege of working closely with women’s teams across a spectrum of sports, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, golf, and cheerleading. In June 2018, seeking new horizons and experiences, Christina made the vibrant choice to relocate to Miami Beach.

Within the fitness community, Christina is celebrated not only for her expertise but also for her role as a mentor, resource, and influencer. Her driving force is a heartfelt desire to uplift and enhance the lives of others, be they athletes, individuals from the general population, or her professional peers. Christina’s commitment to lifelong learning is evident in her pursuit of a wide array of certifications, enriching her expertise and crafting a diverse and distinctive background.

Her philosophy towards fitness and performance training is refreshingly holistic. Kris Belding, residing in the vibrant community of Miami Beach, Florida, brings a rich tapestry of expertise to her role as a movement instructor, holding certifications from Physical Mind Pilates, Gyrotonic, and Corrective High-Performance Exercise Kinesiology (C.H.E.K.). With 14 years of experience in teaching movement, Kris offers both group classes and private sessions at South Beach Pilates, where she integrates her profound knowledge and skills to guide her clients.

Her educational background in Psychology & Sociology, combined with her licensure as an LCSW, and her training in Theta Healing, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and hypnosis, form the cornerstone of Kris’s holistic approach to wellness. This unique blend of qualifications enables her to offer a distinctive training experience that nurtures both the body and mind, facilitating transformative change.

Kris’s commitment to her craft extends beyond local boundaries as she travels globally, teaching Pilates and NLP. Kris’s personal interests, such as her favorite dining spot, My Ceviche, known for its tuna tacos in lettuce, and her love for guanabana juice, a beverage made from the cancer-fighting fruit soursop, add a personal touch to her professional profile, showcasing her holistic approach to life and wellness.

Kris has done fitness modeling for years and was exercise content advisor, consultant and wrote the exercise program for The South Beach Diet books, magazines, DVD, and website program. She has been in multiple issues of Prevention Magazine including special interest publications, Social Miami, Social Affairs, Good Housekeeping, Ocean Drive, Modern Health. She has been featured on Fox and Friends, NBC and ABC fitness segments & The Cooking Channel. She is particularly passionate about introducing her clients to the foundational principles of Pilates, guiding them patiently and meticulously through the nuances of the practice. Alma’s ultimate goal is to empower her clients, helping them transition from beginners to more advanced levels, where they can fully appreciate the depth and benefits of Pilates.
